Here, you become the traveler from Calvino's novel. Each scene is the first chapter of a different book.

A story begins with a small church nearly lost in a blizzard, a narrative of solitude and faith. Then, it is cut short. A new story opens with a skier set against the monumental Dolomites, a tale of grace and daring. This too is abandoned. The chapters shift without warning. A quiet village under a blanket of snow, a chairlift hanging in the silent air, a train track pointing toward distant, sunlit peaks.

In this winter landscape, we are perhaps never meant to find a conclusion. We are here to collect beginnings, to revel in the beauty of stories that are never finished, piecing together a journey from fragments of what could have been.
